Springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers and controls work together. The symptom gets us close; inspection identifies the cause.
Door feels extremely heavy, will not lift, or has a visible gap in the spring.
↗02Loose, frayed or snapped lift cables can leave the door crooked or jammed.
↗03A roller has left the track, the door is tilted, or a panel is binding against the rail.
↗04Grinding, shaking, sticking or unusually loud travel often begins in the door's path.

The DR approach
The site is organized the same way a repair should be: identify the symptom, isolate the system and verify the movement.

What moved, stopped, sounded different or changed?
Door balance, springs, cables, track, hardware, opener and controls are considered together.
The cause, work and safety implications should be clear before service proceeds.
A repair is checked through opening, closing, balance and safety response.

The safest next step depends on whether the door is balanced, crooked, obstructed or under uneven tension.
Stop using the opener, keep people clear of the door and describe whether it is open, closed or crooked. Do not pull the emergency release if the door is open or unstable.
The current scope is repair only: garage doors, openers and selected residential gate systems. Complete new-door and new-gate sales are not offered.
An obstruction, misaligned safety sensors, resistance in the door, incorrect travel settings or damaged hardware can trigger reversal. The door and opener should be tested separately.
New grinding, popping or scraping is a warning that a roller, hinge, track, cable or spring system may be binding. Continuing to cycle it can turn a smaller issue into additional damage.
